My internet business started with setting up a handyman business on my pushbike !
To some extent it was part of my eco warrior strategy, although I didn’t realise at the time how much my persona was moving in this direction.
Though it also has to be said, I didn’t have much loot so to speak.

  • Curtain tracks and spare parts for them.
  • Locks and security products.

Broadband came along and the business it took off relatively speaking and I moved more towards selling online and doing less handyman fitting work. There were quite a few of us small early adopters who did well for a few years until the large companies got their act together and the market matured.

I’ve diversified, though do have some stock of spare parts for curtain tracks and lock cylinders.
